In Dialoguing: Level One, you learned to meet someone with curiosity, neutrality, and presence.
Dialoguing: Level Two takes you into the harder moments.
A client cannot connect with what they are feeling. They jump from one issue to another. Fear, shame, or guilt takes over.
Or something happens inside you. You become frustrated, second-guess yourself, talk too much, go silent, or back away.
These are the moments when dialoguing becomes more than knowing what question to ask next.
Dialoguing: Level Two teaches you to stay connected to yourself, listen through your whole navigational system, and respond to what is unfolding in the moment.
Prerequisite: Read or listen to Full Body Presence and Reclaiming your Body by Suzanne Scurlock
And Dialoguing: Level One
This course is approved by NCBTMB for 10.5 CE Hours

Some sessions flow. Your client drops inward, their body responds, and something begins to shift.
Others are far less straightforward.
A client may have difficulty connecting to you or themselves. They may become overwhelmed, disconnect from what they are feeling, or get caught in an old story. As soon as you begin working with one issue, another appears.
These situations can also activate your own unconscious defaults.
Do you start wondering whether you're doing it wrong?
Become overly polite because you're afraid of pushing too far?
Talk more because silence feels uncomfortable?
Or do you back away and disconnect even though your hands may still be on the client?
Or do you try too hard to fix the problem?
The more complicated the interaction becomes, the easier it is for your own assumptions, reactions, biases, and limiting beliefs to enter the room.

Dialoguing: Level Two teaches you to notice both sides of the interaction so your own reactions don't begin directing the session.
Advanced dialoguing is not about becoming better at interpreting another person.
It is about becoming a more sensitive and discerning listener.
You learn to listen with what Suzanne Scurlock calls the "ears of your heart" and the rest of your navigational system, noticing the sensations, images, words, impulses, or "pings" that arise within you.
Then comes the deeper skill: knowing what to do with that information.
When do you wait to speak up?
When do you ask that needed question?
When do you gently offer what you are sensing?
And how do you check your perception rather than assume it is correct?
Through this work, you begin developing:

Greater confidence when sessions become unpredictable
More trust in your own navigational system
Greater awareness of your personal reactions and defaults
More skill working with disconnection, overwhelm, fear, shame, and guilt
Greater comfort with silence and uncertainty
More skill using reframing without imposing an interpretation
Better discernment about when to speak, wait, or slow things down
You are not becoming the authority on your client's inner world. You are becoming more skillful at helping them access it.
Dialoguing: Level Two is an advanced master class for practitioners who want to navigate more challenging therapeutic conversations with greater skill, neutrality, and confidence.
Building on Dialoguing: Level One, the training focuses on three major areas:
Learn how to respond when clients have difficulty connecting, become overwhelmed, move rapidly between issues, or encounter other obstacles during a session.
Learn how language can help someone see an experience from another perspective without dismissing what happened or imposing an interpretation.
The goal is to loosen the grip of a story that may be keeping someone trapped and create room for another possibility.
Deepen your connection with the six wisdom areas that form the foundation of your inner navigational system.
Learn to use the Six Wisdom Areas Protocol to support greater integration at the end of a session.
This advanced master class combines:
Guided teaching and experiential practices
Grounding and filling practices
Advanced dialoguing demonstrations
Practice with difficult therapeutic scenarios
Breakout exercises and self-reflection
Practical integration into client sessions
The emphasis is on experiencing and practicing the work so it becomes embodied knowledge.
Maintain connection when a dialogue becomes difficult
Recognize their own unconscious defaults
Listen deeply without moving into fixing or analysis
Trust and appropriately test information from their inner radar
Remain neutral when offering perceptions

Move Beyond the Basics of Healing Conversation
At the foundational level in Dialoguing: Level One, you learn to be curious, establish connection, meet the person where they are, and cultivate enough self-awareness that your own "stuff" doesn't get in the way.
In this master class, you learn to maintain those skills when the session becomes difficult.
Perhaps the client goes quiet: How do you know whether they are connecting more deeply or moving into analysis paralysis?
Perhaps you feel your own gut or throat tighten as you consider speaking: Are these inner signals picking up some information about the client, or is your own fear entering the session?
There isn't a formula that gives you the answer at this level.
Advanced dialoguing develops the embodied discernment to notice these signals, test what you perceive, and respond without making pronouncements about someone else's experience.
Develop the Discernment That Technique Alone Can't Give You
Excellent, the masterful facilitation of Suzanne Scurlock during the demo was palpable!
I feel my ability to support my clients who are experiencing difficult issues has deepened. I love having learned and practiced more ways to help them to address these issues. I have even more tools in my tool box now!
This course empowered me to fully occupy my own space within my body and energy field. As I sank into the strength of my bones I felt a belonging within my own inner sanctuary; a cathedral of trees with roots sinking deep into the physicality of the earth. The knowingness that my inner sanctuary is with me everywhere I go offers me greater ability to sink into safe and sacred space with my clients. I feel deeply blessed and honored to have taken this course with Suzanne. It has been life changing.
You will learn to speak more with your own true voice and to listen more with your heart.
Inside Dialoguing: Level Two, you'll learn how to:
Recognize unconscious defaults such as self-judgment, perfectionism, frustration, over-politeness, silence, over-talking, humor, or backing away
Notice assumptions, biases, limiting beliefs, and reactions before they influence the session
Recognize when the client’s trauma, overwhelm, or nervous system freezing is interfering with the therapeutic connection and healing process
Create greater therapeutic safety through verbal and energetic reassurance
Let the client remain in charge of the pace and level of connection
Work effectively with clients who continually jump from one issue to another
Help clients draw on previous progress and healing as a resource
Recognize and disarm the Inner Critic
Honor old survival strategies rather than simply trying to eliminate them
Use positive reframing with fear, shame, guilt, and limiting stories
Recognize and test the "first hit" from your navigational system before intellectual analysis takes over
Use gentle paraphrasing to confirm whether you are accurately following the client's experience
Apply the Six Wisdom Areas Protocol to support integration
Recognize when your own unresolved material has entered the therapeutic relationship
You'll also see advanced dialoguing demonstrated in practice, including how pacing, questioning, reframing, and confirmation can support a session without imposing an agenda.

Advanced dialoguing isn't about always knowing exactly what to say.
It is about being grounded enough to listen, curious enough not to assume, and discerning enough to know when and how to respond.
Sometimes your client needs a question.
Sometimes a reframe.
Sometimes the entire process needs to slow down.
And sometimes they need someone who can stay beside them without trying to fix what is happening.
Dialoguing: Level Two helps you build that capacity.
You'll deepen your ability to navigate difficult therapeutic situations, work skillfully with fear, shame, and guilt, and help clients reconnect with the wisdom already within them.
You don't need to have all the answers. You need the presence and skill to help your clients hear their own.
Listen Deeper. Trust Your Inner Radar.
Help Clients Find Their Way Home.
